Formula E's Gen4 car, driven by Dan Ticktum, set a 42.4s best at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, close to Nick Heidfeld's 1999 F1 record of 41.6s.
The team's cautious approach was due to the car being in the early development phase. Despite this, Ticktum's performance was impressive, considering the Gen4 car's limited development compared to F1.

Formula E founder Alejandro Agag aims to beat F1's Monaco lap record, with a target of 1m08 seconds. However, this goal is not expected to be achieved with the current Gen4 car.
