The Trump administration has asked Congress for $87.6 billion in additional funding, primarily for the Iran war and the Ebola outbreak in Africa.
The request includes $67.15 billion for the military, with $21 billion allocated for munitions, industrial base strengthening, and critical capabilities.
The funding also covers $500 million for Global Health Security to combat the Ebola outbreak and $800 million for international humanitarian assistance, including a quarantine facility in Kenya. The White House emphasized that this funding is crucial to protect Americans and prevent the spread of Ebola to the United States.
