China has invested heavily in developing stealth aircraft and anti-stealth air defenses, but its approach is misguided. According to a US Air Force analysis, China believes advanced technology is the key to US stealth capabilities, when in reality, it is just one component of integrated aerial warfare.
The US treats stealth as a multifaceted capability that integrates technology with operational tactics to maintain air superiority. In contrast, China's strategy is driven by a focus on technological solutions, such as low-frequency radar and passive sensors, to counter US stealth.

This misconception could have significant implications, potentially leading Chinese leaders to underestimate the effectiveness of US stealth airpower and feel more emboldened to take aggressive action, such as invading Taiwan. China's air defenses should not be underestimated, but their integration into a unified system is what makes them formidable, not any single radar or missile.
