Marc Marquez has achieved his first win of the 2026 MotoGP season in Hungary, taking his first victory since last September. The seven-time world champion overcame a lingering nerve issue in his right shoulder to secure the win.
Ducati MotoGP team boss Davide Tardozzi expressed surprise at Marquez's performance, but noted that the rider is still not 100% fit. Tardozzi attributed Marquez's success to his ability to work within his limits and his determination to recover from his injury.

The win marks Ducati's third of the season, with Tardozzi anticipating that upcoming rounds will favor Aprilia, but expressing confidence that the balance will tip in Ducati's favor at other venues. Marquez now sits 72 points behind championship leader Marco Bezzecchi.
