Denny Hamlin has significantly closed the gap in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings. After the Coca-Cola 600, Tyler Reddick led with 129 points between himself and Hamlin. However, Hamlin's impressive finishes at Pocono, including three first-place results, have reduced the advantage to just 19 points.
The Cup Series now heads to Naval Base Coronado for an all-new street course, where the battle to make the Chase will continue. Austin Cindric is among those fighting for a spot.
The upcoming race will be crucial in determining the championship standings, with Hamlin looking to overtake Reddick and others vying for a place in the Chase.
