A group of Democratic senators, led by Kirsten Gillibrand, are urging the Trump administration to disclose the findings of a US military investigation into a February 28 strike on a girls' school in Iran.
The strike, which killed more than 175 children and teachers, is believed to be the US military's largest civilian casualty incident since 1991.
The senators, including Jack Reed, are requesting that the US military finalize its investigation, brief Congress, and present a plan to prevent similar mistakes in the future. They argue that there is no justification for withholding an unclassified accounting of what happened.
