Ukraine has launched a major aerial attack on Moscow, with multiple drones and cruise missiles hitting several locations across the city. The attack, which may signal a new phase in Ukraine's long-range air war against Russian interests, targeted a key oil refinery in the Kapotnya area, causing significant damage and fires.
The refinery, which supplies up to 40 percent of Moscow's petrol and 50 percent of its diesel fuel, was hit by errant Russian missiles as well as Ukrainian drones. Videos from the scene show multiple fireballs and plumes of black smoke rising from the refinery.

The attack has caused widespread destruction and disruption in Moscow, with air traffic disrupted at several airports and traffic halted on the city's ring road. At least 16 people have been injured, and several buildings, including a high-rise residential building, have been damaged.
