The US Air Force has confirmed that its existing VC-25A Air Force One jets will continue to serve in the immediate future. This comes after social media posts from White House officials suggested one of the jets had reached the end of its career.
The VC-25B 'Bridge' aircraft, converted from an ex-Qatari Boeing 747-8i, is set to enter service soon and will join the active executive airlift fleet alongside the VC-25A and C-32.

The Air Force is also acquiring two fully-equipped VC-25Bs from Boeing, with delivery of the first one expected in mid-2028. The VC-25As will continue to serve until the new aircraft are fielded, despite becoming increasingly difficult and expensive to operate and sustain.
