Marines in South Korea have carried out their first live-fire tests with new first-person-view one-way attack drones.
The drones, called Neros Archer, are small quadcopters that can fly into targets and take them out, giving infantry squads the ability to strike enemy positions as far as 20 kilometers away.
The successful flights are part of the Marine Corps' efforts to adapt to drone warfare and expand their offensive capabilities in the western Pacific. The drones will provide small infantry units with a new kinetic option, allowing them to hit targets far away with a small flying explosive.
