The Air National Guard has introduced a $7,500 bonus for eligible service members who reenlist for three years.
The move is part of the Guard's efforts to fill its ranks and modernize the force. Other services, such as the Army and Navy, are also offering large bonuses to retain talent.
The Air National Guard is looking to recruit 8,842 enlisted airmen, 1,123 line officers, 68 chaplains, and 53 warrant officers for fiscal year 2026. The Guard has also implemented other initiatives, including a social media collaborator program and increased local market funding, to support its recruiting goals.
