Zoox has given its robotaxi a makeover with upgrades to comfort and function based on rider feedback. The vehicle still lacks a steering wheel and has 40 cameras, radars, lidars, and infrared sensors.
The company has added more padding and ergonomic curves to the seats and headrests, and updated the color palette to create a calmer environment. Other interior changes include a more visible touchscreen and enlarged cupholders.

Zoox has also relocated its bidirectional reflectors for better visibility and added a new speaker and microphone to the door interface. The company is awaiting a decision from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a commercial exemption to launch production and offer paid rides.
