Vishal Sikka, former CEO of Infosys, has launched a new startup called Hang Ten Systems, which aims to use AI to challenge traditional IT services firms. The startup has raised a $32 million seed round led by Mayfield, with participation from Aramco Ventures and angel investors. Hang Ten Systems helps enterprises build, modify, and operate software using AI-driven development and automation.
The startup enters a market where IT services firms are racing to adapt to AI, with some companies partnering with AI firms like Anthropic and OpenAI. Hang Ten Systems has already started working with customers, including Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Fresenius, on AI-native project delivery.
The launch of Hang Ten Systems comes amid a growing debate over whether AI will expand the industry's addressable market or fundamentally alter how enterprise software is built, maintained, and delivered. With its AI-native model, Hang Ten Systems plans to scale differently from traditional services firms and is hiring across multiple locations globally to meet enterprise demand.
