Valve has imported 13 tons of VR headsets in one day, likely the first mass production shipments of the Steam Frame. The shipment arrived in Los Angeles on a German container ship after a two-week voyage from Shanghai.
The import records show that Valve's distribution partner offloaded nearly 32 metric tons of 'Virtual Reality Devices', which translates to roughly 13 tons of actual product.

This shipment, combined with previous imports, may indicate that Valve is preparing for a summer launch of its new gaming headset and Steam Machine console. The company has confirmed that both devices will launch this summer, despite having to rethink prices due to RAM shortages.
