Theker, a Barcelona-based startup, has secured $85 million in funding to develop robots that can adapt to different tasks. The company's machines are designed to be reconfigured, with interchangeable hands, arms, and forms, making them suitable for various industries, including retail and manufacturing.
Theker's goal is to move beyond specialized robots and create machines that can handle complex tasks. The company has already gained the support of major investors, including Samsung and Aglaé Ventures.
With this funding, Theker plans to expand its operations across Europe, the US, and Asia, and grow its team from dozens to up to 120 people by the end of the year.
