Voice AI startup Ringg has raised $10 million from Peak XV Partners as an extension of its Series A, bringing the round’s total to $15.5 million. The company, which processes 20 million call attempts monthly, started as a text-to-speech venture but pivoted to building voice AI agents for enterprises after finding speech model training unsustainable.
Ringg’s first customer was Indian fintech Cred, and it has since onboarded major Indian startups like Flipkart, Practo, Groww, and PolicyBazaar. The startup initially focused on high-volume, low-complexity tasks like outbound calling and loan collection but now targets complex workflows such as healthcare appointment booking, e-commerce abandoned-cart recovery, and fintech KYC checks. Its voice agent currently operates across 1,200 clinics for Practo, while also expanding into chat and WhatsApp channels for clients like Shell.
Ringg aims to position itself as a platform that delivers outcomes rather than just voice automation, targeting Global Capability Centers in India to sell automation capacity alongside human support. The company builds its own speech models but uses an orchestration layer to route tasks efficiently. Peak XV’s investment reflects confidence in Ringg’s technical depth, enabling it to handle high-value enterprise workflows with consistency.
