Digital preorders for Grand Theft Auto VI opened on August 23, offering a $79.99 Standard Edition and a $99.99 Ultimate Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, marking its first release in over a decade.
Rockstar confirmed the title will be download-only at launch, with physical editions containing download codes instead of discs. Preloading begins November 12, giving players time to install the game ahead of release. The Ultimate Edition includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, featuring themed vehicles, weapons, and hairstyles.

Leaks continue to surface ahead of Rockstar’s August 27th extended gameplay showcase, which will stream on YouTube and premiere earlier for Netflix subscribers at 3PM ET. The company also faces ongoing scrutiny over recent layoffs and unionization efforts by staff at its studios.
