Dell unveiled the 14S laptop at IFA 2026, a student-focused model that borrows design cues from the MacBook Neo while offering more color options. The 14S features an aluminum chassis in linen, dusty rose, washed denim, or velvet green, with configurations starting at 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It includes Intel Wildcat Lake processors, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack—unlike the XPS 13’s headphone jack omission.
The laptop targets affordability, sitting below the XPS 13 with a claimed starting price near $700. Dell lists display options ranging from a 1920x1200 LCD to a 2880x1800 120Hz panel, alongside a 1080p webcam with Windows Hello support. Battery life is rated for up to 23 hours of Netflix streaming, though pricing remains undisclosed.
Availability is slated for later this fall, with Dell positioning the 14S as a budget-friendly alternative to pricier premium laptops. The company hasn’t confirmed chip scaling to Intel Panther Lake, keeping its specs limited to Wildcat Lake options.
