China has successfully recovered a reusable orbital-class booster for the first time. The Long March 10B rocket launched from the Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site and returned to a vessel in the South China Sea.
Powered by seven kerosene-fueled engines, the rocket took off and descended back to Earth, guiding itself into a frame on the ship.
The successful recovery is seen as a significant milestone for China's space program, with officials hailing the flight as a 'complete success'. The country is seeking to replicate the achievements of SpaceX in reusable rocket technology.
