Calligram Studio announced its next project, I'M YOUR HOST, an audio‑deduction experience described as "Think Her Story, but weirder." The game tasks players with using a bespoke operating system to piece together missing podcast episodes, turning discarded interviews and field recordings into clues.
The three‑person team—artist Eleanor Summers, sound designer Alexander Smith, and co‑founder Jigmé Özer—has spent roughly two years shaping a linear narrative that unfolds through sound while a hidden text layer mimics vintage computer interfaces. Themes of paranoia and technological coercion surface as players listen for lies, moods, and locations, all presented in a retro UI inspired by early Winamp and scientific software.
Development began after the studio’s 2024 release Phoenix Springs, and the team hopes to ship the title within a few months. I'M YOUR HOST will launch on PC, Mac, and Linux and can be wish‑listed on Steam. Özer also called attention to the distribution model, noting that the current 30 % Steam cut feels skewed toward larger publishers.
