Apple announced at its WWDC 2026 keynote that the Health app will expand its cycle‑tracking feature to include perimenopause and menopause support. The update adds a dedicated section where users can record symptoms, receive notifications when their cycle patterns suggest perimenopause, and access educational resources.
The company has been building women‑focused health tools since 2019, when it first introduced a menstrual‑cycle tracker on Apple Watch and iOS. Stacy Ford, Apple’s vice president of OS management, said the new capability is designed to help users understand what’s happening in their bodies and be better prepared for conversations with doctors.
Apple’s move targets a rapidly growing market; a study in the journal Menopause estimates that 1.1 billion women worldwide were post‑menopausal last year, and digital health products aimed at this demographic have seen strong investment. By embedding perimenopause tracking directly into its native health platform, Apple positions itself to capture a segment that’s gaining cultural visibility on social media and daytime TV, and may broaden its symptom library and medical‑record integration in future updates.
