Pedro Acosta is officially confirmed as a factory Ducati rider for 2027, partnering with Marc Marquez. Acosta leaves KTM to join the factory Ducati team, marking a significant change in the MotoGP lineup.
The deal confirms the departure of Ducati's double champion Francesco Bagnaia, who is set to join Aprilia. Acosta, a Moto3 and Moto2 champion, has been impressive in MotoGP, with several podium finishes, including a maiden Sprint win.

Acosta faces the challenge of competing with Marquez, one of MotoGP's all-time greats, while relying on Ducati's technical edge in the new 850cc era. The move is seen as a significant step forward for Acosta's career, with Ducati's team principal, Gigi Dall, praising Acosta's talent and precocity.
