All 11 MotoGP teams have signed a new five-year contract with the championship, securing their participation from 2027 to 2031. This agreement follows a recent commercial deal between MotoGP and manufacturers, including Ducati, Aprilia, KTM, Honda, and Yamaha.
The new contract comes ahead of significant changes to the sport, including the introduction of 850cc engines to replace the current 1,000cc power units. Several riders have already tested the new 850cc prototypes and Pirelli tires during a recent test in Brno.

According to Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP Group, the agreement provides greater stability for the teams and reinforces their central role in the championship. Lucio Cecchinello, President of IRTA, also expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, stating it gives teams the stability and resources needed to invest in long-term sporting projects.
