Tyler Reddick's NASCAR Cup championship lead has dramatically shifted. Just before Memorial Day Weekend in May, Reddick had a 129-point lead, but now he trails Denny Hamlin by 44 points.
Reddick lost the points lead for the first time this year one week ago. At Chicagoland, he ran strong but suffered a setback when debris punctured his radiator, putting him 30 laps down after repairs.
The points standings have seen a significant change, with Hamlin now in the lead. Reddick's misfortune has given Hamlin the opportunity to take the top spot, and the championship race is heating up.
