Cal Crutchlow thinks introducing a 'transfer window' in MotoGP would not solve the chaos surrounding rider announcements. The veteran rider believes that negotiations would still happen outside of the window, making it ineffective.
Crutchlow's comments come after a chaotic 2027 rider market, with many announcements being made after months of speculation. He notes that in racing, riders and teams will make deals regardless of any regulations.

The issue is further complicated by the fact that MotoGP manufacturers negotiate with the series over contracts, creating a situation where riders' futures are almost confirmed but not officially announced.

Crutchlow's opinion is that a transfer window would only regulate the period in which official announcements could be made, but would not change the underlying dynamics of the rider market.
