MotoGP has published its 2027 pre-season testing calendar, cutting two days from the Sepang shakedown and official test while moving the Buriram session forward by a month. The changes arrive ahead of the new 850cc/Pirelli era and the season opener in Thailand.
Both Sepang tests—scheduled for January 29–30 and January 31–February 1—will run for two consecutive days without a break, reducing rookie track time before the opening race. The Buriram test, previously held just before the March 5–7 opener, will now take place February 6–7 to give manufacturers more time for machine modifications.

The season launch event will be held in Rio on February 21, with the full 2027 calendar still to be announced. Rookie rosters include Dani Holgado, David Alonso, Izan Guevara, Nicolo Bulega, and Senna Agius.

Moto2 and Moto3 will each hold two tests at Jerez in mid-February.
