Luca Marini will race for KTM’s Tech3 squad in MotoGP’s 2027 season, securing his future in the premier class. The Italian joins after two poles and two podiums with VR46 Ducati and currently leads Honda’s championship standings in 11th place.
Fabio di Giannantonio, Marini’s former rival and now factory KTM rider, called the signing a “great move” for the team. He cited Marini’s speed and technical feedback as key assets, noting their shared history since their satellite Ducati days. Marini’s feedback is often described as more precise than di Giannantonio’s own, which he values highly.

Pedro Acosta, departing KTM, also praised Marini’s consistency and ability to develop bikes, calling the lineup a strong one. Marini will be joined at Tech3 by Moto2 race winner Senna Agius as the series transitions to 850cc engines and Pirelli tires.
