Ferrari arrives at the Austrian Grand Prix after its first victory of the 2026 Formula 1 season in Spain. The team's substantial upgrade package helped transform the competitiveness of the SF-26.
The Austrian Grand Prix will provide an important validation test for Ferrari's developments on a circuit where power unit performance plays a significant role. Ferrari will also debut its first ADUO-related internal combustion engine upgrade, which is expected to reduce the team's performance deficit.
The engine upgrade is part of a larger development programme, with Ferrari having received confirmation of two in-season engine development tokens. The team is also entitled to additional dyno hours and extra development budget, which will be directed towards a more comprehensive engine evolution planned for later in the season.
