Formula 1 is heading back to the Styrian hills for the Austrian Grand Prix. Before the race, drivers have been keeping themselves occupied with various activities. McLaren celebrated their 1000 Grands Prix milestone with the whole team, including the unveiling of a new statue of Mika Hakkinen.
Yuki Tsunoda and Zhou Guanyu returned to the cockpit for tyre testing, while Carlos Sainz announced plans for a grandstand at the new Madrid street circuit. Valtteri Bottas spent time in nature, celebrating Midsummer in his native Finland.

Other drivers, such as Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto, prepared for the upcoming race by watching the World Cup and getting in some training. Ollie Bearman had the opportunity to drive Ayrton Senna's 1985 Lotus 97T, an experience that will likely inspire him for the Austrian race weekend.
