Italian MotoGP front‑runner Marco Bezzecchi announced via video link that he intends to compete at the upcoming British Grand Prix at Silverstone, confirming his recovery is on track after undergoing surgery for a complete, displaced fracture of his left collarbone. The injury, sustained during qualifying at the Sachsenring last Saturday, forced him out of the weekend’s races and left him fourth in the championship, having collected just 13 points from a possible 148 over the previous four rounds.
Bezzecchi’s operation on Sunday went without complications, and Aprilia Racing expressed optimism about his return, noting a definitive medical assessment will be provided in the coming days. The rider, who appeared with bandages on his shoulder, emphasized the need to focus on healing but remained confident about his Silverstone appearance.

The British Grand Prix, scheduled for 7‑9 August, will be Bezzecchi’s first race back, provided he passes a medical check on Thursday. Starting the weekend 22 points behind teammate Jorge Martin, a successful comeback could reignite his title challenge and restore Aprilia’s momentum in the season.
