Fabio Quartararo confirmed that Yamaha will not introduce any major upgrades to the current MotoGP bike, as the factory’s development resources are now fully dedicated to the upcoming 2027 850cc model. The French rider emphasized that his focus is on extracting the maximum from the existing V4 setup for the remainder of the season.
At the German Grand Prix, Quartararo navigated a chaotic opening lap that saw him drop from sixth to ninth before climbing back to seventh after several riders crashed or retired. He recounted a near‑miss in turn three and a brief contact with Jorge Martin, noting that the grip off turn seven was poor but that he managed to hold his position to the finish line.

Despite the lack of new parts, Quartararo remains Yamaha’s top scorer, sitting 14th in the championship with a comfortable points gap over teammate Alex Rins. With his potential move to Honda for 2027 still unconfirmed, he said he will continue to fine‑tune the current bike, aiming to capitalize on every opportunity before the summer break.
