Marco Bezzecchi set the pace in Friday’s second practice session at Aragon, outpacing a trio of Ducatis in the final laps. His 1m45.455s laptime edged Alex Marquez by 0.010s and Marc Marquez by 0.038s, with Fabio Di Giannantonio and Fermin Aldeguer completing the Ducati quartet in the top five.
Johann Zarco returned to MotoGP after a three-month absence, securing a Q2 berth in his first session back. The LCR Honda rider finished tenth, ahead of teammate Diogo Moreira, while the session was dominated by Ducati and Aprilia machinery. Only one Honda rider, Luca Marini, made the top 15.
Pedro Acosta led KTM’s charge in eighth, nine tenths behind Bezzecchi, while Pecco Bagnaia missed the top 10 after a late corner mistake. The results set up a tight qualifying battle ahead of Saturday’s sessions.
The session highlighted the depth of Ducati’s challenge and Zarco’s immediate competitiveness after injury.
