Aragon has secured a place on the 2027 MotoGP calendar, with the circuit set to host a round next season. Following this, it will transition to 'official reserve circuit' status from 2028 to 2031.
The announcement was made during an event in Zaragoza, with Aragon's regional president, Jorge Azcon, expressing pleasure at the confirmation of the Aragon Grand Prix's return in 2027.
The deal may have implications for Argentina's planned return to the MotoGP calendar in 2027, as teams are hesitant to expand the calendar beyond its current 22 rounds. Aragon's new status as a reserve circuit could potentially delay Argentina's re-entry into the championship.
