Ursa Major is making significant strides in 3D-printing engines to power hypersonic weapons. The company's approach to design and production focuses on scalability and affordability, with the goal of helping the US military replenish its critical munitions.
Ursa Major's CEO, Chris Spagnoletti, believes that hypersonic missiles are a pressing issue, and the company is well-positioned to solve this problem. The company has produced hundreds of engines and accumulated over 135,000 seconds of hotfire test time in under a decade.

Ursa Major's manufacturing approach uses additive manufacturing, modular tooling, and software-backed production cells, enabling rapid switching between solid rocket motor variants without expensive retooling. This approach is expected to reduce production timelines and increase flexibility.
