US President Donald Trump met with munitions makers at the White House to push for expanded weapons production. The meeting comes as the US faces depleted stockpiles due to military operations in Iran and other conflicts.
The US has supplied large quantities of weapons to allies, raising concerns about inventories of key air-defense and precision-guided weapons. Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg pushed back on industry claims about production progress, citing delays on key programs.

The meeting's tone shifted toward cooperation, with officials aiming to 'get on a war footing' and work together to speed up production. Replenishing stockpiles could take until 2030 or 2031, creating a 'window of vulnerability'.
