The US Defense Department has announced agreements with Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin to expand production of Patriot and THAAD interceptor components.
The move aims to replenish missile inventories depleted by conflicts in Iran and Ukraine.
The initiative will triple production capacity for Patriot Advanced Capability-3 interceptors and quadruple production capacity for THAAD interceptors, with the goal of producing nearly 14,000 interceptors.
