NATO and Ukraine are turning to the private sector for help in disabling Russian airfields. The Airfield Denial Challenge offers a 250,000 Euro award to companies or individuals who can develop a system to prevent Russia from using its air bases.
The goal is to find a solution that can persistently deny Russia the ability to launch aircraft from its airfields, which have been a key advantage in the war against Ukraine.

The challenge is technically agnostic and is looking for ideas that include uncrewed aerial systems, autonomous munitions, and hybrid solutions. The deadline for submissions is July 20, and ten finalists will be selected to showcase their designs on September 3.
