Lockheed Martin has introduced the MORFIUS X-Rotor, a counter-UAS system designed to hunt and neutralize enemy drones. The system features a High Power Microwave payload that can reportedly take down over 50 adversary drones in a single sortie.
The MORFIUS X-Rotor has a cross-wing configuration, allowing it to take off and land vertically, and is designed for field recovery and rapid reuse. It uses proprietary algorithms and an active radio-frequency seeker to target enemy drones.

Lockheed Martin has completed live-fire testing and is accelerating production to meet demand. According to Jason Reynolds, Lockheed Martin's Vice President of Integrated Air & Missile Defense, the system is expected to be widely adopted to protect against single and swarming drones.
