Trump Signs New Orders on Birthright Citizenship

It also seeks to restrict birthright citizenship to anyone whose parents 'engaged in fraudulent activity to obtain citizenship.' The second order seeks to curb what Trump called 'birth tourism' by increasing restrictions on visitors to the U.S. who want to obtain visas to give birth while in the country. The move is the latest attempt by the Trump administration to limit immigration and comes after the Supreme Court previously rejected a similar effort to restrict birthright citizenship.
