President Donald Trump will visit Chippewa County, Wisconsin on Friday to showcase his support for the state's farmers. The White House stated that the trip aims to highlight the president's efforts to deliver lower input costs, new trade markets, and a stronger farm safety net.
According to Liz Huston, White House Regional Press Secretary, the president has spent every day since taking office fighting and delivering for Wisconsin families. The trip is President Trump's first visit to Wisconsin since his re-election in 2024.
The visit comes ahead of the November midterms, with Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) set to host the president. Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) has spoken out against the president's actions, stating that they have hurt the state's farmers.
