House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries appeared on MS NOW's PoliticsNation, where he criticized Donald Trump's policies. Jeffries stated that Trump doesn't care about the quality of life of American people. He also expressed strong opposition to the $70 billion reckless Republican budget bill, which includes funding for ICE and Border Patrol.
Jeffries emphasized that Democrats are fighting to make life more affordable for Americans and to fix the broken healthcare system. He also mentioned that the Supreme Court's decision to allow Alabama to use an old electoral map previously ruled as racially discriminatory is outrageous.
Jeffries believes that Democrats will take back control of the House of Representatives and will continue to make their case to the American people. He also supports the effort to call for Black athletes to boycott SEC schools as a way to protest Southern states' erasure of Black political representation.
