Zest, a new restaurant discovery app, has launched to the public, allowing users to track their dining outings and get recommendations based on where people actually eat. The app uses a combination of transaction data and AI to make personalized recommendations.
Founded in November 2024, Zest has $1.8 million in pre-seed funding and has attracted over 100,000 visits post-launch. The app links to a user's credit card to import their dining history and create a personal dining map.

Zest's approach is to surface interesting places based on verified dining spend, rather than social posturing. The app also leverages over 80 million reviews from various sources to enhance its suggestions.
