Wisk Aero, an electric air taxi company owned by Boeing, is facing a lawsuit from a former software manager, Briahna O’Neill, who alleges she was fired after raising safety concerns. O’Neill claims she filed two internal safety reports that outlined how Wisk had reduced the amount of FAA-required software testing to meet a test flight deadline in 2025.
The lawsuit, filed in Santa Clara Superior Court, alleges discrimination and wrongful termination. Boeing declined to comment on the matter.

Wisk Aero is one of several companies working on developing commercially viable electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, with the goal of achieving full autonomy. The company was recently approved by the FAA to join a three-year program for testing such aircraft.
