Laika Studios has released the full trailer for *Wildwood*, its upcoming stop-motion animated fantasy film directed by Travis Knight. Set to a cover of Avicii’s “Wake Me Up,” the trailer showcases the studio’s signature craftsmanship, blending eerie visuals with a haunting soundtrack.
The film adapts the 2011 novel by Colin Meloy of The Decemberists and illustrator Carson Ellis, who drew inspiration from Portland’s Forest Park. The story follows 12-year-old Prue McKee, who enters a hidden magical world called The Wood after her baby brother is carried off by crows. She teams up with classmate Curtis Mehlberg to navigate a realm of talking animals, bandits, and a woman searching for her missing son.
