Respond.io, a Malaysian startup, has raised $62.5 million in a Series B round led by Camber Partners. The company's customer conversation management software helps businesses drive revenue from customer conversations across multiple messaging channels.
The platform uses AI agents to automatically handle high volumes of customer inquiries, qualify leads, and close sales without human intervention. Respond.io has grown to $35 million in annual recurring revenue, with a 169% year-over-year growth rate and a 30% profit margin.
The company plans to use the new capital for hiring, organic growth, and acquisitions, with a focus on expanding into strategic markets like Europe and North America. Respond.io's CEO, Gerardo Salandra, aims to pursue bolt-on technology and established teams with strong customer bases in these regions.
