Reid Hoffman is leaving Microsoft's board to focus on his latest AI startup, Manus. After a decade on the board, Hoffman is transitioning to 'founder mode' with the drug discovery company.
Hoffman joined Microsoft's board in 2016 after the company acquired his company LinkedIn for $26.2 billion. He was also involved in Microsoft's investment in OpenAI and the acquisition of his AI startup Inflection AI.

Manus, which has raised over $50 million in seed funding, aims to use AI for chemistry and cancer research. Hoffman believes the startup is making progress on 'Move 37' AI, which supersedes human creativity in chemistry.
