OpenAI has announced a new feature called Lockdown Mode, designed to provide additional protection from prompt injection attacks. This feature will disable certain functionalities such as live web browsing and the retrieval of images from the web.
The goal of Lockdown Mode is to reduce the likelihood of sensitive data being shared due to prompt injections. According to OpenAI, even with Lockdown Mode enabled, ChatGPT could still be vulnerable to certain types of attacks.

Lockdown Mode is currently being rolled out to self-serve ChatGPT Business accounts and eligible personal accounts, targeting individuals and organizations that handle sensitive data and require stricter protection.
