NASA has revealed a new high-tech undergarment designed for astronauts to wear under their spacesuits. The Liquid Cooling and Ventilation Garment (LCVG) is a collaboration between Axiom Space and Prada.
The LCVG will provide cooling and comfort to astronauts inside their spacesuits, using cold water circulated through embedded tubes to whisk away heat. It also houses a ventilation system that supplies fresh oxygen to the helmet and directs exhaled CO2 to a scrubber for recirculation.

The LCVG is set to be used when Artemis IV returns humans to the Moon in 2028. This is not the first time NASA has partnered with high-fashion designers, having previously funded the BioSuit concept created by MIT professor Dava Newman.
