Meituan has officially unveiled LongCat-2.0, a 1.6-trillion-parameter AI model that has been leading OpenRouter. The model was trained entirely on Chinese chips and brings a native 1-million-token context window to the public domain.
LongCat-2.0 introduces a highly aggressive pricing tier, with all context-cache hits processed completely free of charge. The model is available under a highly permissive MIT license.
The release of LongCat-2.0 marks a significant shift in global tech infrastructure, as it proves that near-frontier AI models can be scaled successfully without relying on US Nvidia GPUs. This could potentially threaten Nvidia's dominance in the sector.
