Fitbit co-founders James Park and Eric Friedman debuted Luffu Link, an LTE-enabled health and safety band that tracks physical and mental well-being while keeping family members informed. The $250 device pre-orders are open and slated for early 2027 shipments in halo gold, onyx black, and sterling blue.
The wearable combines continuous health sensing with voice logging, location tracking, and instant check-ins, all without requiring a paired phone. It captures real-time updates on medications, symptoms, meals, moods, and reminders, then organizes the data via the companion Luffu app. The app uses AI to detect unusual patterns—like drops in activity or sleep changes—and alerts families when intervention may be needed.

Link’s built-in GPS and LTE let wearers send emergency requests with location, health data, and a voice message to trusted contacts. Unlike screenless fitness trackers, Luffu designed the device to resemble jewelry, positioning it as a discreet guardian rather than a traditional wearable. The startup also hinted at a future home device to expand its family care system.
