Genesis has rolled out its new electric flagship SUV, the GV90, transforming its Neolum concept into a production model. The GV90 shares the 800V E-GMP platform with Hyundai’s Ioniq 9 and Kia’s EV9, positioning it among Korea’s top electric three-row SUVs. For launch, Genesis is prioritizing a four-seat version and the high-end GV90 Neolum variant, which retains the concept’s pillarless coach doors and swiveling front seats.
The GV90 Neolum’s interior features a retractable screen, a massive heads-up display, and a mix of materials including wood, wool, and leather. Genesis confirmed the coach doors meet safety standards for mass production, addressing earlier concerns. All GV90 models come equipped with a world-first roof airbag that deploys during rollovers, alongside 11 additional airbags.
A three-row, seven-seat GV90 will join the lineup later, but Genesis is focusing initial deliveries on the four-seat and Neolum variants.
